Eagle Eye (2008)

Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Michael Chiklis, Billy Bob Thornton

Jerry and Rachel, two strangers receive a phone call and a voice instructs them to do a series of errands that includes breaking the law and risk their lives. The peculiar thing about this voice is that she knows their every move.

Shia LaBeouf, has made an excellent variety of choices the last couple of years that sky-rocketed his career. The annoying thing about it is that every guy who gains fame is instantly promoted to a sex symbol. Like we don’t know who is sexy or not. I am not saying that Shia is ugly, but he is definately not a sex symbol.

Now about the film. It is a much better version of “War Games” with lots of chasing and mystery and it had a really good cast.

These critics are so boring when you don’t have something bad to say.

Now this trailer is making you think that the whole movie is about LaBeouf when it is about a guy and a woman. See how manipulating advertising can be?

Burn After Reading (2008)

George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, David Rasche, J.K. Simmons

Employers at a gym find a CD that contains some secret CIA data and want to take advantage of it.

The good thing about the brothers Coen is that they make films that everything can happen so you can never know what to expect. Also every single actor fits for their part like a hand in a glove.

You should definately see the film.

Max Payne (2008)

Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O’Donnell, Amaury Nolasco, Olga Kurylenko

I mysterious cop is seeking the guy who murdered his pregnant wife.

The same story we always hear. You killed my wife, you killed my kid, you killed my partner, you killed my girlfriend, prepare for mayhem.

When I think of Max Payne I remember of Hitman and when I think of Hitman I remember Max Payne. Perhaps, because both films derive from first person shooter video games and they both have Olga Kurylenko… naked.

Mark Wahlberg is Max Payne who is like everything we’ ve seen from him before. Tough and tough! He even has a dream where he sees his wife and unborn baby and he still looks tough. He could squeeze the child to death with his toughness just by watching it.

As I said before Kurylenko stars in this film, but still cannot figure what was the purpose of her role. The same goes with Mila Kunis who has a bigger part. Also I disagree with women carrying bigger guns than pistols, because they don’ t look good on them, unless they have big breasts who suffocate in wet see-through and tight T-shirts.

Amaury Nolasco looks really tight and sexy, but the writers could have extracted something more from him in order to give women a reason to remember the film.

I have posted the trailer before and I do not want to repeat myself so I post the introduction to the game.
